Greenland (2020)

For Father’s Day, I watched Greenland – another post-apocalyptic movie about a dad (and a mom) who must fight for their family’s survival while faced with an impending planet-killer event. It’s impressive how effectively the story remains focused on the Garrity family as they’re split up by circumstance and then race against time to reach the (possible) safety of Cold War bunkers in Greenland. This is a movie that could have fallen prey to Armageddon-style spectacle without any real heart, but while there’s definitely plenty of explosions and chaos in Greenland, it’s also at turns sweet and hopeful.

Certainly worth your attention!
