Jupiter’s Legacy vs. Invincible

Jupiter’s Legacy (Netflix)
Invincible (Amazon Video)

Finally got around to watching the first episodes of these family-focused superhero shows and, after this brief exposure, my immediate thoughts are that the cartoon (Invincible) is far superior to the live-action show (Jupiter’s Legacy). The dynamic between Mark and his parents in Invincible feels more believable and relatable. The costumes and creature effects on Jupiter’s Legacy feel like they’re out of the old Power Rangers TV shows. I do find it a little jarring that Invincible‘s Omni-Man looks like J. Jonah Jameson and is voiced by J.K. Simmons, but that doesn’t dull my appreciation for the show.

Of the two, Invincible is worth your attention.
