May 14, 1952: Robert Zemeckis

On this day in 1952, movie director Robert Zemeckis was born in Chicago, Ill. He first gained notoriety with Romancing the Stone in 1984, but is probably best known for the Back to the Future film trilogy, Forrest Gump (which earned him an Academy Award), and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
