On this day in 1914, actor Kevin McCarthy was born in Seattle, Wash. He worked in theater and in television and movies, but may be best known for his role in the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers movie. His parents died in the 1918 flu epidemic. He died in 2010 of pneumonia at the age of 96.
