On this day in 1942, Terry Jones was born in Colwyn Bay, Denbighshire, Wales. He was an actor, writer, comedian, and film director who was best known as part of the Monty Python comedy troupe. Films he directed included Monty Python and the Holy Grail (with Terry Gilliam), Life of Brian, and The Meaning of Life. He suffered degenerative aphasia, lost the ability to speak and, in 2020, died from frontotemporal dementia.
